How to set parental controls on devices
An interactive guide giving practical instructions on how to set parental controls on the most common devices children use, including android phones, Fire tablet, iPhones and iPads, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Microsoft devices (Windows computers and Xbox), can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
Houseparty, a video calling app described as a face-to-face social network, enabling family and friends to keep in touch, has become one of the most downloaded apps since the introduction of social distancing. Children under the age of 13 must have a parent/carer's permission to access the service, although no proof of age is required to create an account.
To help parents and carers to understand what Houseparty is about and how to keep their children safe, the National Online Safety organisation has produced a guide for parents and carers.
The guide can be downloaded from the link, below, to the National Online Safety site where you will also find lots of tips on how to keep your child safe online.
The guide is also available to download below.
